Optional Cards
Optional cards are intended to be used in connection with GAC, GMH, BCW and GMD series power drives. They are namely designed to be installed on the drive and thus, if not otherwise indicated normally they are delivered already assembled together. They are meant to expand the drives’ processing and interfacing, making them easy to use in connection with sensors and external control systems.

RMM36 and RAMP20

RMM 36 card converts an input fixed frequency step burst in a signal that can be used to drive a stepping motor above the start-stop frequency range, by performing suitable acceleration and deceleration frequency ramp. Main features are the following:

  • Automatic activation upon receiving fixed frequency step pulse.

  • Acceleration and deceleration slope setting by means of a DIP-SWITCH.

RAMP 20 card generates acceleration and deceleration by means of parabolic ramps which improve motor performance.

FFM

FFM cards are oscillators suitable for controlling a stepping motor operating at high-frequency (outside the start-stop range). Main features are the following:

  • START and STOP signals on separated and non-interlocking inputs (pulses).

  • Ramp slope and length (stop point) setting by means of DIP-SWITCHES.

  • Operating speed setting by means of a DIP-SWITCH and external analog signal.

OFM

OFM cards are oscillators fit for controlling a stepping motor  operating at medium-low frequency (inside the start-stop range). Main features are the following:

  • Enabling display by means of LED.

  • Operating frequency that can be set by the user by means of a DIP-SWITCH and trimmer or by external adjustment.

  • Impulse or level control signals, depending on the type of card.
