The standard RACK is a pre-wired unit normally equipped with a power supply suitable to take one or more R.T.A. stepping motor drives in EUROCARD format. In a standard RACK only drives having the same supply voltage can be mounted.

The standard RACK can be supplied in 10,5”, 12,5” or 19” sizes. The possible number of drives in a standard RACK depends on: type of rack, presence or not of power supply, presence or not of an optional card mounted on the drive.

The supply transformer is not contained in the RACK but can be supplied by R.T.A. on demand. The RACK can be operated by means of a three-phase transformer (with triangle type secondary connection) or by a single-phase transformer depending on the total power.

The screw connectors are at the rear of the RACK. There are separate terminals for the connection of the transformer, of each single motor and of the various groups of logic signals.

The standard RACK is an open type unit to be installed inside a metal electrical cabinet and is normally equipped with suitable fans.

The following table indicates the maximum number of units that can be housed, for each mechanical RACK size (with or without power supply) and for each drive model in EUROCARD format (with or without optional card).
